4:00 am: Roll out of bed. Aka: the foam pad and sleeping bag I liked to pretend was a real bed, put on glasses, hat, shoes, bra, and apron, and begin preparing breakfast.
No I did not serve breakfast wearing only those things, I just didn’t have the energy that early in the morning to put on anything other than what I slept in the night before.
4:30- 10:30 Serve breakfast to the hundreds of the ever so hungry fire fighters.
10:30- About 1:00 Clean up, make around 400 sandwiches, and sack lunches for the ever so hungry fire fighters.
1:00- 3:00 (The favorite part of my day) If we were lucky, we’d get to take a nap, and SHOWER. :D
3:30- 5:30 Prepare dinner.
5:30-10:30 Serve dinner to the ever so hungry fire fighters.
10:30- 12:00 Clean up.
12:01 Collapse into the foam mattress and sleeping bag
12:04 Fall asleep dreaming about serving food, counting plates, and asking, “Would you like oatmeal this morning?”
4:00 Roll out of the foam, and repeat. :)

You’ll be happy to know that I did find some fire-fighting love this summer. That’s right, a fire fighter made me roses. Not just any roses, these roses were made out of toilet paper. It was magical.
Beautiful, aren't they?
My job really made me realize how lucky I am to have toilets that flush, air conditioning, a real bed, private showers, and a regular sleep agenda.
I would like to give a shout out and thanks to the caffeine association. Without it, I would not have been able to make it through the summer.
It was a great summer, but all in all, I am SO GLAD to be back at DIXIE STATE!!
